Company History

Mr. Bradley and his wife had 14 children, many of which learned lessons from working hard at the store.  Mr. Bradley later left the daily operations of the Sleep Center to his sons.  In the late 1990s after Mr. Bradley retired, one of his sons along with a long time employee Chad Downs took over the business. They opened up a second location in 1991 in South Salt Lake City, which is the current location of the business today servicing all of the Salt Lake Valley, Tooele, Bountiful to Ogden, Provo/Spanish Fork, and Park City/Heber. In 1997, the last Bradley in the mattress business left the company to Chad and his wife, Lesa. Together, they are now the owners of the one remaining Bradley's Sleep Etc., located in Salt Lake. 

As the Water Bed era began to slow, Chad and Lesa focused intensively on updating to innerspring mattresses and Latex Foam Mattresses in the South Salt Lake store. Later, to compete with surrounding furniture shops, Bradley's immediately started to diversify from just selling sleep related products and became a full line furniture store. Today, Bradley's has focused on an excellent display of Rustic and Log Furniture, yet still is proud to specialize in selling the best mattresses made at value pricing! Now, Chad and Lesa's son Matt works at the store as a salesman with many other experienced and helpful employees trained to make mattress shopping an enjoyable experience.
